drawingdetail:

Jacopo Pontormo, Study of Angel for the Annunciation, c. 1527-1528. Brown wash on white paper, 15 3/8 x 8 1/2 in. Uffizi, Florence, Italy.

So Beautiful! And to think, I probably walked by it and didn’t even notice it! Seems so strange to think that 1 year ago, I was there, and I was cooking, and learning, and breathing Italian…oh, how I would give so much to just be back there again :)

I LOVE this Art Nouveau style door! Seeing so much of this design in Paris last April was spectacular. Just bringin’ me back - anyone up for a road trip?

WOW - wow. wow. wow. wow. wow. God is cool, ya’ll.
AND  - this is probably one of the most incredible videos I’ve ever had the pleasure of viewing. too cool :)
growhousegrow:

1. I love you Eames.
2. If you haven’t seen where this comes from, prepare to be blown away.  Think the Eames only designed furniture?  Think again.  POWERS OF TEN!  Woo!

The Detroit, from Aladdin Homes Brochure, 1917

// I seriously love these kit homes from the Depression and War years in the US. Can’t even imagine how that would work out today, but you gotta admit, it’s a pretty cool concept!

workspaces:

“If you’re going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don’t even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery—isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, you’ll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If you’re going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It’s the only good fight there is.”

— Charles Bukowski | via aconversationoncool

Interesting quote - inspiring as I look to the weeks, months and years ahead. As uncertain as I am about what it will all look like, God’s got it planned out AND will have my back for as long and hard as I can go. Only through Him will it all be possible!
